I'm an old customer, I pay £5.99 and can get 2 HD streams, maybe it will go up to the £6.99 soon to join the others.
Still, an extra £1 for HD streams rather than £10 Sky HD or £7 just for Movies and Sports on VM is a lot better value for money.

Ah, that's when mine will probably go up too. That's ok, Netflix is quite good value for money. The movies are a bit naff, but can't complain about the TV shows at all.

It's fantastic value for money if you compare the programme selection with Sky's offerings.

With Netflix producing their own shows - Hemlock Grove, Daredevil, they are increasing their value all the time too.
Sky and VM can't afford to sit and rest on what they have.

morning all btw. a horrible rainy day here.

Laziness has always been my problem in the past but now I`m being forced to look at all my options due to my difficult financial situation. As much as I love my entertainment channels, football is more of a must for me so as I said I will look at possibly getting BT TV if as is being predicted BT Sports will be dropped from the xl package next year. It`s all up in the air at the moment so for now I just keep waiting.

It will depend on how much BT values the amount it receives upfront from VM and whether it wishes to try and tap it for a few pound more or go it alone and insist a skysports model ie Money collected by VM but passed in full (or thereabouts) to BT. The danger in teh alter is there would be no turning back and could potentially lose more than they gain as it would rely on a good % of people who currently receive to continue to subscribe as a standalone.
I think nothing is off the table till the last minute where all the data is available which is typical for familar faces of this forum but given the stakes involved could be a game changer for both parties

What BT have to take into account is if they sign a contract with virgin allowing them to include their sports channels in the XL pack they are guaranteed the money but if they say no then they have to hope what they are offering on their channels is attractive enough to get people in significant numbers to sign up AND STAY SIGNED UP. If I leave virgin tomorrow or drop down a package or two BT don`t loose a penny. So in my view BT would be mad to not sign up for another number of years with Virgin. Of course I hope they do

I have to agree they do not have a wide enough portfolio of sports for me personally to sign up for a standalone subscription.

That's not a bad shout mate, I'll have to give that a go.
Can you use your same log-in or do you need to sign up in each region?

Same login.
Login with the UK one and you're automatically logged into other regions when you access them.

This article confirms BT will charge extra for CL , it would be a real coup for VM if they included CL in the existing XL deal.
Is the next battle ground in sport for BT and Sky 4K ?
