Installation Layout

I'm planning to have VM installed in a new property in the next couple of months, and I'm wondering how much control I will be able to have over the installation layout? I'm going to need the cable TV box installed in the living room at the front of the house, and the cable modem installed in the upstairs front bedroom. I'd rather not have cables running up the stairs, and was planning to ask the engineers to run the cable up the outside of the house instead.

Can anyone advise if I'm likely to get any resistance to this during the installation, if I need to arrange this with VM in advance, or if anyone else has done this sort of layout and experienced problems?

Cheers.

Re: Installation Layout

Our install was mostly done by cabling on the outside front wall. Neat as well.

Re: Installation Layout

nope pretty standard, just bear in mind the telephone wiring is a completly different wire to the modem wire, so if that is to go upstairs to you need to let them know first...
