It was just a marketing stunt from Sky to try and counteract the free BT Sport offer with BT broadband.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 1
Just found out that a new Hindi channel from Zee TV is to launch on VM from 6 April 2015 at 7pm- it will be called &TV.
It is expected that Zee will ask for Lamhe to be removed to accommodate this new channel.

And by all acccounts a successful one. This channel commercially was all about Sky broadband and not about European football.

Yup.
I believe that &TV will be on EPG number 811 and that National Geographic Wild HD will be on EPG number 229.
At a wild guess (no pun intended ) i'd say that the 4 channels that are testing are Spike TV, 5* +1, &TV and the confirmed National Geographic Wild HD.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 1
Latest News from Media Boy HQ on new channels testing.
Last updated March 23rd.
Media Boy Blog will keep updating this post to give you all the latest information we can reveal.
What is testing - here is the latest list of new channels testing we have:
-Nat Geo Wild HD set to launch in April on Virgin Media.
-MORE THAN three more channels are testing.
We at Media Boy HQ has been told by Virgin Sources that Nat Geo Wild HD is set to launch on Virgin Media sometime in April.
We have also seen raw information that Virgin Media are testing more than three channels under the name "V0--". We will not reveal any more on them until Virgin Media or we see them being given real channel names (Like Media Boy HD).

That's an interesting snippet. Reading between the lines I wonder if Virgin Media (Liberty Global) will be getting ITV Encore in the near future.

Yes that crystal ball of the great master has been flickering rather a lot lately.
