Corrupted recordings

Recently I have been having problems with my TiVo and some recordings; occasionally a programme would pause half way and sometimes it would recover and other times I had to delete the programme.

A new twist (happening now) is the bottom half is black with some flickering.

It could be the programme (didn't hear anything about picture break ups during Extant earlier this week) or there is a problem with my hard drive.

Would formatting it work or should I get VM to have a look?

Re: Corrupted recordings

Your hard drive is faulty. Give VM a call.

I don't recommend reformatting. It might get it working temporarily, but chances are it will fail again, meaning you'll lose your recordings twice.

The problem with Extant was a broadcast issue and was not caused by a fault with your box.

Re: Corrupted recordings

The issue with Extant is a relief. I'll give VM a ring and get the hard drive/TiVo replaced sometime - when I get round to it
