TiVo : Tivo Series Link

Hi

I'm trying to record a new series however I already have multiple recordings set for the same time. So I found when it repeats and tried to series link that instead, however it advises of a conflict for the original air day, it would appear it looks at the channel rather than the time slot. I've set this one to record reruns, so will it pickup the rerun if the first one fails due to a conflict?

Should do if there is a rerun scheduled.

If it repeats within the first week, it would record even if set to "New only".

I look for "other showings" and set for that channel and date. If you have already tried to record on the original day, but get a conflict so delete, I think it takes a while for that to update on screen. Hours sometimes.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I'll have a play around and see what happens.

TiVo should find a way to get the recording by looking at alternative showings on the channel. Where we find issues is where recordings come straight after the other on the same channel and that clash is not resolvable.
