RF Modulator

I recently had the Tivo STB installed and would like to add it to my loft distribution system in the same fashion as my Sky STB using an RF modulator connected to the scart output on the Tivo.

Sky is using CH68.

My question is will Tivo work in the same way as Sky using the modulator and do I tune it to a different Channel say CH56?

Also what is the best modulator to do this please?

Anyone out there who can advise me would be much appreciated.

Re: RF Modulator

You could connect it to a home network and use TiVo Virgin anywhere app (IIRC).

But I don't know what exactly you can do with it I haven't yet networked mine.

Re: RF Modulator

Yes, if you tune it into a different frequency you can run both boxes on the same analogue network

Re: RF Modulator

As long as you don't choose a channel the same or too close to any of your local freeview services (helps reduce interference) you should be fine.

I'm not sure if TiVO has the same "plug in" type modulator as sky+ does, but maplins and other electronics suppliers sell standalone modulators which should do the job nicely.

It doesn't. You'd need a standalone one.
