The Tivo fee is pretty high, £11.50 p/m...not sure that it warrants this amount.

I doubt there is anything on the cards to reduce this either.

TiVo is at most £5 more than a V HD or V+ HD box. The other £6.50 of that £11.50 applies to all additional boxes.

If you're on TV L or below then TiVo and the V+ HD box are the same price.

What is the need for the additonal £5?

The extra 5 or 6 quid I pay is a waste of money for me. If I had to get another tivo box because say my v hd box packed in would I have to pay a second tivo monthly fee if it was replaced with a tivo box?

I was expecting something along the lines on why TiVo costs more.

If you said TiVo costs a lot more to run than the V+ boxes due to the amount of data thats fed into it, I could accept that a little bit better than "YOU GET TIVO" lol

Personally I love the TiVo box, but not sure the name TIVO warrants £5 a month extra , just my opinion

You wouldn't have to get TiVo - if your V HD box stopped working it would be replaced by another V HD box.

If you chose to replace it with TiVo, then yes you would have to pay the extra £5.

That's been discussed to death over the years since TiVo was launched.

End of the day it boils down to 'because it does'.

Thats ok, I just wondered if there was a more technical aspect to it.
Its much better than a Sky+ (spit) box anyway lol

Does that mean if VM release a new box (e.g for 4K content) will the current price go down or will the newer box cost an extra £5 more than £11.50?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 1

To someone mentally unstable, seriously TiVo died in this country once, and it will probably do so again, my Smart TV can already analyse what I watch via set top boxes and make suggestions for me based on that info and it doesn't cost extra a month, in a few years time TiVo will be a dinasour and VM will have backed the wrong horse again.

Be careful what you say in front of your Smart TV if it's a Samsung

Can your smart TV set a Wishlist, record to three separate tuners and automatically handle recording clashes across them?
