HOw to control TV with Tivo remote?

hi, I have just had a 1tb Samsung Tivo installed, the remote works the volume on my Panasonic TX-P42U10B plasma TV however I cannot find any button that will make it change the input source.

On a Sky remote I'd use the Help button for this.
Any suggestions which button it might be on the Tivo remote?

(It's a pain having to need several remotes to control the TV.)

Cheers,
Zoom.

Try a long press on the text button. But it doesn't work with all TVs.

Re: HOw to control TV with Tivo remote?

Cheers that worked.

Now I have your attention , if I accidentally press something to stop a on demand show, how do I play it from the same position I was at?

On Sky I just pressed play & there was an option for the last watched point. ON this tivo I seem to have to start again and FF to it?

Jeez, this Tivo is crap!in comparison to the Sky HD box.

Just because I had to pause to take the dog out the damn thing only waited 10 minutes then stopped and now I have to FF through it all to find the point I was at.

How ***** is this!

I'm instantly regretting switching

Sadly bookmarking is only available on pay-per-view stuff.

Re: HOw to control TV with Tivo remote?

Sadly... this Tivo is absolute tripe in comparison to the Sky HD box

It takes far too many button presses to do simple things, like record and series link things.
On Sky it's only 2 buttons to press, I have lost count on the Tivo.

Still, I'm saving over £200 so will have to put up with it for a year.

This is not a solution but if you have your TiVo connected to your home network, you can use the playback features on the TV Anywhere iPad/Android app to scroll to any part of an on demand programme in an instant.

My Tivo continues from where I left off. I just press play. You could also press OK and choose Resume. Isn't that an option?
