Re: How do these look?
Your downstream is a little low, do you have an attenuator on the hub?

Re: How do these look?
Hi jb66,
Thanks for replying back to my post. I can confirm there is no attenuator on the super hub 2 or tivo box.

Re: How do these look?
You must have a really long cable for the upstream to be low as well as the downstream. I guess if the downstream drops any more it might be worth calling up to get a tech to have a look

Re: How do these look?
Hi jb66,
Thanks for replying back to my post. The problem my friend is facing is the tv picture breaks up intermittently I take it this is because the downstream power level is on the low side, also looking on the super hub 2 at the logs there are lots of t3 errors. My friend is about I would say 200 metres from the cabinet, I am guessing if a techie came out and moved the cable up a tap then the upstream power level then would drop wouldn't it? Which also would cause problems am guessing.

Sounds like he might need an RG11 cable repull, -6 is what he is getting at 323mhz, he is probably getting around -12 at 715mhz which would mean certain channels will be pixelating.
It looks like he is already on the highest tap port as his upstream is quite low

Re: How do these look?
Is the upstream power on US-1 fluctuating and moving upward?

Re: How do these look?
If you refresh the upstream stats screen, what is US-1 doing? The 40.21 reading suggests power adjustments.

Re: How do these look?
Hi Sephiroth,
Thanks for replying back to my post. My friend has rang Virgin Media and has an engineer appointment this week. What should the downstream and upstream power levels be?

Re: How do these look?
Downstream should be between -4 and +9
Upstream should be anything below 54 dBmv but it's heading for issues if over 50 dBmv. If the upstream power is not divisible by 0.25, then power adjustments are occurring and you have potential issues.

Look fine to me. What did he do? Remove an attenuator?
