I recently bought a Sony 32W705B and connected my Virgin V HD Box through a HDMI connection but I cannot get any picture or sound. It's as though there is no signal being received.
When I connect my blueray player to the same HDMI port it works fine.
Annoyingly if I connect my old TV (Bush) to the Virgin Media box it works. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables so I'm quote sure it's not the cable.
Has anyone else had issues with this Sony TV? Are there any settings on the Virgin Media Box that can be changed?
Any help appreciated as it's really frustrating me.
You can change the video resolution on the V-HD box, but a modern TV like that should be able to handle any resolution anyway. Make sure the TV firmware is to up date. You can find the latest here: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KDL-32W705B
Thanks, I will give the scart connection a go later. It's set at HDMI 1080 wide at the moment. You can update the firmware from the settings on the TV and it's apparently upto date but I will check that too.
