Is that for playing Video/Music or storage of X1 games?
Just been searching and I've ordered one from Amazon.

Storing Xbox One games, it is better than the existing internal drive and can recommend it, a few other people in the X1 thread are also using it.

From memory it asked me if i wanted all games installed on it when i first used it, but can't remember if there were any other options.
The whole drive installation was very simple.
Plug it in, the Xbox recognises it and tells me it needs to format it which takes maybe 5 seconds.
Then it asks you if you want to install games on it or music and video.
You can easily move existing games over to it from the internal drive.
Basically if you're considering external storage then get 1 or similar you won't regret it.

Re: What have you just bought?
I've always wanted a Kenwood type mixer, the big, heavy type with loads of power. But I could never afford £300 for one. Found an ideal one at Wilko for £80 today.... early Xmas present to myself.

I got mine 11am yesterday.
What I will do is put the older games I don't play so much.
I took just under 1 hour to transfer 46GB, that was one game.
The thing that is bugging me is when I turn off the X1 the drive goes into a pulse mode, so I need to put something to dull the light.

1hr seems a terribly long time, but then i never timed mine.
I recommend putting your most used games on it as the drive is far quicker at loading off the external than internal, just transfer the games while at work or through the night, job done.

Popped into Aldi today, and got a bottle of 18yo Glen Marnoch, a bottle of 24yo Glen Marnoch, and 27 bottles of Berliner Kindel - that's Christmas Eve sorted.......
