Bit hard to turn that down. I need to stop being a loyal customer and flit between the two, you just get shafted otherwise.

Yes, surprised me a bit too - already have Sky Sports on VM (and BT, MUTV) but not movies. Deal didn't include BT Sport but we can't be too greedy eh? I switch about every 18 months and usually get 6 months free something or other so the effort is worth it. I wasn't intending to switch at this point but just lost my rag over how slow everything was plus the other problems I had. Those problems may be peculiar to me but I don't want workarounds - if I'm paying £100+ per month I expect it to work properly.

Check the Video Output Format setting is still correct. The setting changed on some TiVos when the update happened.

Is it me but this TIVo update has made my PVR less responsive for example there is now a few seconds delay to load my shows page, also a odd issue of no picture only sound on a channel on the odd occasions switching between channels using the last ch button with your TV connected by HDMI?

Yes, I get this too. I suspect we're not the only ones. The update promised much but - so far at least - has delivered little.

Its the same for a lot of people looking at the posts on here. I have exactly the same experience as you my shows sometimes takes 10 seconds to populate and at other times 4/5 seconds.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I decided to reboot the TiVo last night things were getting rediculious speed wise. So far things are a lot quicker, I will see how things go.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I also rebooted last night, although only because I had to turn the power off for another reason, and yes, a noticeable difference.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Did one this morning as it was frozen on one channel and would not change at all. Quicker now, but then it wasn't that slow before hand.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Im also having these problems with this update. My shows takes ages to populate and keep getting purple buffering circle and as others have said a reboot seems to help a bit but it doesn't last.
I also have another issue since the update. I use TiVo to TiVo streaming for the Sky channels and prior to this update never had an issue, but now everything stutters and buffers. The boxes are connected via homeplugs and using speedtest.net im getting around 60mb through them as I always have done. Also PS3 connected through works fine.
Anybody else using MRS?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I'm new with Tivo, had it yesterday, I have a few basic questions hoping the experts here can help me out
When I press the right hand arrow, apart from the channel that I'm on showing, nothing else happens, how do set scroll through the channels?
If I want to watch a particular programme at a set timed, how do I set it to change channel?
Each time I press a key on the remote, it makes a noise, how do I turn it off?

On your last question go to help and settings then Audio and then sound effects volume and turn off.

You set a Reminder. Because of the way Tivo works (it was designed as a PVR) it will record the show as well. This is why, in many peoples' view, reminders are pointless; you may as well set a recording. But the reminder system will do what you want; just remember to delete the recording at the end of the show.
