Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
The annual Swansea Bay 10k today, not my first 10 but I've always somehow managed to miss this event each year since I started running so I'm looking forward to this. I've done longer distances but only specifically trained for a 10k once before which gave me a finishing time of 54 minutes something so today I'm aiming for a sub-50 finish but if I can get around 52 minutes I'll be happy.

Cheers - didn't get a sub-50 but wiped 4 minutes off my 10k PB which I'm amazed about. Came in at position 919 out of 4000 with a chip time of 50 minutes 53 but my watch said 50.45 which I'll take instead
Now the small matter of the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2 weeks...

Well done Russ. You seem to be getting the hang of this running lark.

Not long to go for the Galaxy Note 4 release, which is good timing 'cause my S4 is behaving a bit strangely.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Finally managed to get a stable enough connection to get the mail and logon to CF. It's a connection desert here at Land's End. Only 2G! and the local pub haven't fixed their WiFi after a lightning strike took everything out earlier this year.
However to make up for it the weather is glorious: Warm and sunny. Already had the BBQ cranked up twice. Sitting in the very hot conservatory at the moment as there's a better signal there.
