Firefox 31.0 Upgrade
The 31.0 upgrade is a pain in the ass.
U cannot upgrade it from inside firefox itself, u have to download the latest version and upgrade that way. I thought it was just my PC being a pain but the same thing happened on my sons Windows 8 laptop.

Mine auto updated to 31 just fine.
That said my auto-update from version 32 to 33 isn't working properly...

I just had this problem too - I tried changing the settings from 'automatic update' to 'notify me but allow me to choose when to install' and back but I still couldn't get it. I went to the FF site and downloaded it directly from there as you did. Not a massive problem but unusual all the same.
