Actually, it would be rather amazing if a certain Mr Malone made a bid and got it. TW own HBO......

From what I was told a couple of weeks ago, I think we can now safely rule out this channel as ever coming to VM.

So Sky would rather close the channel rather than offer it to VM! Pathetic.

I believe I read that it was for 18 months, but the first 12 months would be devoted to the best of their archived programmes.
I'm not bothered about that, as long as we get it by the end of that exclusivity period, when the new stuff will be rolled out, and I think that will be well worth having!

I don't think so, not that are on Sky, anyway. There may be a few from other parts of the world (eg Australia?).
I've just finished watching the Australian drama 'Underbelly', which was brilliant!

Rumour source has told me there will be a talking EPG coming soon for TIVO.
No idea if this is true as it's a new source, only time will tell.

Cripes, can you imagine it? The family talking to you through the programme you are watching from one corner and the EPG trying to get you to change channels in the other! Where will it all end?

My own personal view is there is plenty of life left in the current TiVo and further changes and updates are inevitable in the next year.

I like my HD, so I would live universal and nat geo wild HD to launch. I am not worried about any of the other channels though.

So if we get these final few channels we will be left arguing over I NEED DAYSTAR OR I NEED CHELSEA TV or i am off to Sky

Except that there will no longer be any need to go to Sky because we have everything we want!

Would rather a dynamic EPG than a speaking one.

I agree! Why would we need a speaking one anyway?

What have those with partial/very poor eyesight been doing up until now?
If VM are pushing their TV service to people to those who can't see very well and therefore not being able to get the full benefit, what is the world coming to?
I don't think the uptake of those with partial/very poor eyesight for subscription TV service would be too high. If I couldn't see very well, I know I wouldnt pay for a service I couldn't use.

I must admit that I hate those silly high EPG numbers for pay HD channels, the only real case for this is you have to pay extra for HD equivalent channels on the XL TV package and a lot of customers are not willing to do that!

I think the TV packages could do with a bit of a makeover.
They should have more HD channels in the M+ and L packages, leaving the XL package for all the channels plus extra services like Netflix etc.
It could be a way of adding more value to their products. I'm not sure how viable it is though.
