Yeah your quite right it's all semantics, however I had XLTV with 60mb broadband but just signing a Big Kahuna contract I get the same TV package but with 152mb broadband for less. So can I still say that it's XLTV?

Yes, as it's still called that - even in the Big Khanua information on the website:

Add ons will be available to these bundles i.e. Sky Sports / Movies and the future will probably see 200, 300, 400 mb broadband and Netflix being available to certain bundles (and maybe Sky Atlantic). However there is one thing that's for sure, nothing will be free!

400mb is already being tested i believe.

Not much use over wifi with the existing Super Hubs. Hopefully this will come with a newer 802.11ac based model.

Wi-Fi is rubbish, rip your floorboards up and cat6 your house, only light occasional stuff should rely on wi-Fi.

I live in a bungalow with conctrete floors, don't really want wires running everywhere. Did just get a free upgrade to SHUB2 and it works a lot better, in my house anyway.

Anyone have any idea on how long it will be until Virgin bring in a dynamic EPG? Sucks they are behind SKY for this.

The TiVo EPG is moderately dynamic. There are four updates a day, and we can do extra ones for high-profile changes. But making it update in real-time would be a huge change to the way the software works. I won't rule out it ever happening, but don't hold your breath.

True Howard but then again the TiVo is a much better overall STB then Sky's old dinosaur and that's the unbiased in me talking.

They both have there good points, sky stb has vastly improved with the new update and a lot faster than TiVo.The suggestions option on TiVo has become a gimmick personally tend to just delete suggestions folder rather than take a look,TiVo regarding series links is a lot better and the wish list is a very handy tool but.but still fail to see the justification to charge £5 per month
Ie regards faster sky box I have a 2tb (maybe that is faster than the standard hd box)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 2
Roll on dynamic EPG!
Once again, yesterday Casualty was moved so Tivo records a quiz show instead, thinking it is Casualty.
Annoucer says Casualty has been moved to 2110 Sunday. I know Tivo will not record this as it thinks it already has recorded it.
Look on Guide for 2110 Sunday. 'Death in Paradise' is listed from 2100 to 2200! Recorded that and news following in the hope Casualty may be recorded.
No experience of Sky, but if their box is worse than Tivo, it must be dreadful.

The standard Sky+HD box and the 2TB are the same speed wise , the Sky+HD software will constantly evolve trust me I'm sure the TIVO will also.
