Could be a fibre cut that will take some time to fix or cable theft. The *******s just rip it out of the ground no matter what. They tend to not even look at what type of cable it is till its been ripped out. So it could be fibre or copper. One pays the other does not.

No, that would be a small one . If it was a big fault they'd predict a quicker fix. Anyway, always take predicted fix times with a large pinch of salt - it's rare to know how long a fault will take to fix until it's fixed.

I have checked a couple of random Macc postcodes and no fault is listed, so it must be localised to you. Is there a fault ticket number showing here?

Re: No tv in macclesfield

There is a fault disruption.
You might find various error code messages , On Demand, TiVo® or Interactive TV services at the moment.
Fault reference: F003155893
This is what virgin media are saying.

That was an On Demand fault affecting the whole of south Manchester, but it looks like it is probably fixed now. It wouldn't cause a total loss of the TV service. I suggest you call in and speak to the faults team.

Re: No tv in macclesfield

Probably wire theft, a relative lost her service for a week because thieves took all the copper wire in her area.

Probably not, especially if the OP's broadband is still working.

In what way isn't your TV working, gtcjc?

Re: No tv in macclesfield

All channels came up with error message, some flashed up for about 5 seconds then said channel unavailable, no on demand worked either. Switched tivo box off & on again after about 10 seconds a shirt while ago & all seems ok now, though website still says there is a problem so I don't know if it's just a short term fix,
