Hey Ben,
I'm on the VIP without Talk Unlimited Extra...they didn't upgrade me for free on that haha
I'm not sure what to make of the new BIG DADDY bundle, or if it's worth changing. Do you know if they are phasing out their old collections?

I'm sure my parents price increased earlier this year. Is this another rise this year ?

The current Collections will continue, you won't be forced to move off it.
However it's probably likely the new bundles will be priced in a way that moving to them is an advantage.

It's almost guaranteed that the Sky premium channels will change - as they do for Sky's own customers.

Got sports and movies with HD, how much is just the sports. Nobody at Virgin will give a straight answer to me.

They don't have any Sky Premium channels , is it only Sky Premium channels that will increase this year ?

No shortly after VM will announce a price rise too, those who take Sky premium channels tend to get 2 price rises a year. Those who don't have the Sky premium channels get 1 price rise.

Did it mention anything about the new "BIG" bundles? I'm currently on VIP, but not sure it's worth changing to BIG DADDY. There were a few things missing from that big bundle, but price difference wasnt much.

Nothing was mentioned about specific bundles. I don't really want to mention too much, in case people think the possible changes will actually happen. They did listed numerous things (about what or would or would not add value). A few suggestions that stood out for me were the possibility of Netflix being bundled into a package, Netflix having more newer TV content, catch up TV and on demand having its own dedicated broadband connection like Netflix, cheap sim only mobile deals, refunds if you do not get your advertised broadband speed. They did also ask about SA. Whilst I don't really care for the channel, I do think it would add value to VM, much like BT Sport does. I use BT Sports and many others don't, but still had to stomach the price rises. In my eyes, it's only fair IF SA did ever launch that I help subsidise it through my bill.
It would be best to take all this with a big pinch of salt, as there is a high possibility nothing will come from this. It was only a survey gaining customer feedback. Hope it helps though.

My source seems to thing there are plans to bundle Netflix into the XLtv package as more channels drop down into the L and M+ packs.

A package of streaming services would be good, though. I think this is coming, but I suspect it will take a while.

Cheers for the info Harry...certainly worth knowing what VM are thinking about.
Netflix would be great in a TV bundle, I can see that being a good plus point. Maybe SA too, but that would definitely result in a price rise
A refund for not getting advertised BB speed, could be tricky. But could make VM raise their game in the field they want to do best in.
