Re: 4G Question

It depends which network provider you mean but as for Virgin Mobile, they don't offer a 4G service as yet to non-business customers.

Re: 4G Question

I was thinking about 4g using o2 as the provider.

Are we saying that 4g isn't at full capacity yet?

Thanks for your reply.

I had a look at the coverage checker and it kind of says that the 4g service is up and running smoothly, I just really wondered what users found the 4g service to be like and it's interesting what you say about it.

Re: 4G Question

Define "most UK areas".

Nearly 80% of the UK population have 4G coverage, but that's less than 30% of the physical land area.

Re: 4G Question

EE have good coverage but they're not yet using the 800MHz spectrum so in some areas you may find that you get little to no indoor coverage, plus the added factor of them decommissioning masts you might struggle to get signal at all in some places let along 4G. Bitter customer? Maybe.

Re: 3G Question

If there is an issue with intermittent voice loss on calls when the phone is in the (3G) WCDMA only mode or (3G) WCDMA/Auto mode, could this indeed be a phone fault rather than a mast or reception issue?

Re: 4G Question

I asked a call room manager at virgin mobile last month about 4G and when is the likeliest date and he didn't know a date but the rumours were not for at least 12 months using the EE network.
