Let's hope that the competition caused by BT entering the market will help.

I think it has for Sky Sports direct customers who now get half-price fibre broadband or free ADSL broadband for two years. I just hope they don't try to recoup some of the money from elsewhere eg by raising Sky Sports prices significantly.

Personally I think that would be a foolish move from SKY. They are already swimming against the tide due to competition from cheaper rivals who represent more value for money.
I can confirm 100% that SKY are keeping a very close eye on all of their competitors at the moment be it BT, Google or Sony PS4. I know this as I participate in their research groups. One message coming through loud and clear is customers are actively looking at better value options, and are not afraid to shop around. Long term customers, who have been blindly loyal for years, have started waking up to the alternatives. SKY are very aware of this.
Prices will always go up of course, but not as sharply as feared. SKY will continue to offer "gimmick deals" to persuade people to stay.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 2
Before it launched, there was a discussion in the thread about whether Forces TV would be in M or M+ on VM.
Is there anybody here able to check?
Also, is it unencrypted on Sky?
