Hm, strange that, i'm of a similar mind to you mate, this show got rave reviews, I've only watched a couple of episodes but I'm finding it a bit of a bind to be honest! Maybe it will get better....

Re: Would you pay more for Atlantic to launch?
Sky treat Atlantic as their flagship drama channel, yet keep it exclusive to their own platform. Those of us who do not have Sky, unless we acquire stuff from dodgier sources, don't actually know whether we are missing out. But since some of the more talked about drama is on Atlantic, we think we might be.
Sky no doubt overvalue Atlantic, and now enjoy the exclusive nature of it. Somehow, especially with increased use of streaming services such as Netflix who are now also creating their own content, the inability to get everything from one provider is going to be more frustrating for the customer. It will become more expensive for us all in the long term as we are forced to subscribe to multiple services if we want it all, or go without.

No. And thrice No.
Cost needs to come down for me personally. I can watch the one or 2 shows that this channel would provide on a box set or something.

I have it already (via Sky) and have never watched it, so No.

Re: Would you pay more for Atlantic to launch?
As I access Atlantic content via Now TV you could say I am already paying an increase over and above my VM subscription to access the channel but the fact that I can cancel my Now TV entertainment subscription when game of Thrones finishes suits me perfectly as I am only paying extra while the content I want is available.
If there was a small increase across the board, for the whole year I wouldn't be so keen as I only need access to the channel for about 10-12 weeks in the year. So with that in mind I have decided to vote that I wouldn't be in favour of a price rise, based on the assumption that the price rise in the poll would be across the board and not just for those who subscribed to the channel.
However my advice to anyone desperate for Atlantic content (and the series they are keen on hasn't started or past episodes are available on demand) is to sign up to Now TV as opposed to waiting and speculating as to when or if it is going to arrive on VM.
If you allow me a rather crude analogy, if it's chucking it down with rain and you want to be dry do you stand there getting wet, hoping and speculating that it will stop, with several passers by stating that they are pretty sure it'll stop soon as they have had words with the weather man or do you move indoors (i.e. move to Sky) or do you buy an umbrella/cagoule to maintain your happiness in the short term?

Nah, I can wait for tv series. It's not like live sport where I HAVE to watch it in real time.
I've just this week started watching Twin Peaks for the first time. (Seriously). No spoilers please.

Indeed, the creation of Now TV gives VM customers the opportunity to pay extra for SA if they wish to do so.

Re: Would you pay more for Atlantic to launch?
There are a couple of good shows on it but apart from GOT nothing would make me think "hey i'll pay extra for that channel" most of the stuff you can get via alternative methods anyway such as nowtv, hbonordic etc.

Re: Would you pay more for Atlantic to launch?
This is irrelevant as VM won't get it, that's the whole point of the channel, its not about cost. It's 99% US codswallop anyway. Mr Sloane is the only good thing on it and there are always ways and means if you want to watch it (ie. a nice relative with a SkyGo account )

That is probably one of the reasons that Sky are still holding onto Atlantic. They might get more cash this way than Virgin would pay for it.
