ITV have been desperately showing some leg in a short skirt at sky in a dingy nightclub for many years now to do deals with them. ITV yearn to be a billion pound company like sky but need to realise

1) itv digital network didnt work and failed
2) theyre known as a terrestrial channel

I'm get an impression ITV are a bit of a slimy organisation now. But i'm quite a vengeful angry person

MB polite query: nothing has been said by anyone about axing Radio 4 LW since 2011 AND the relevant Department deny it is happening so this bit of your list can be dropped at least in the medium term?

There are varying references to this deal - some say that Sky has exclusive access to the HBO catalogue but many talk about 'new' or 'first run' shows.

It is all a little ambiguous at the moment so until we hear something a bit more categorical, I guess we will just have to hope in the meantime.
Can I ask when referring to Sky Atlantic why you only ever mention HBO content ? Sure the HBO content is excellent quality but Sky Atlantic has other good shows such as Ray Donovan , Penny Dreadful , Mad Men , The Following , Blue Bloods , Nurse Jackie , The Tunnel , The Borgia's I've also enjoyed the new comedy Mr Sloane starring Nick Frost.

I think VM's current stance of not overpaying is correct however I do think it would be a good addition if they could add it a mutually agreeable price.

Penny dreadful is a great show, is that made by Showtime or Starz?

Its a co-production between Sky and Showtime its a pretty good cast as well with the likes of Josh Hartnett , Timothy Dalton and Eva Green , Showtime churn some good stuff out don't they ?

I much prefer the shorter series with the likes of HBO and Showtime over the US networks which are mostly 20+ episodes.

Showtime are indeed very good, the shorter series are better i agree, they don't feel drawn out.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 2

We don't need an EPG shake up we need a more user friendly On Demand interface IMO, the current list format just feels a bit too cumbersome and on some things in TV Boxsets they've not bothered to put episodes into a folder for the specific show so you just have a massive list of episodes

Only because they are the best of the dramas on there (apart from Mad Men, which I have recent box sets for apart from the last series) and they are exclusive. I'm not sure about the exclusivity element of the other programmes - for example, Nurse Jackie is available at the moment on Netflix on subscription.

However, it would certainly be good to be able to access all these programmes other than through Sky Atlantic.

This sky sports 5 seems to have legs, I do hope it's not another exclusive.

Considering it forms part of the premium channels and we pay subscription costs for this I do hope it's not withhold
