With the new sky deal launch soon and if the Disney HD channels rumors come true then by the end of the year there won't be much different with sky. Only channels I need are natgeo HD history HD sky 3D. Not fussed with sky Atlanic.

If they could get Natgeo HD, History HD (for Vikings  ) that's a good start.
Maybe Universal HD too.
Sky 3D and Atlantic may be too far out of reach for VM...damn you Sky

last year I did see rumour that Channel 4 was set to launch an Channel4 +1 HD Channel - but nothing has happen so far.

For me I am happy with all the channels that broadcast on Virgin Media right now.
For my dad I wish to see Sony Movies, Movies 4 Men and More>Movies launch on Virgin Media - as he watch Movies 4 Men and More>Movies on Freeview all the time.

I guess until HD has become the "norm" for everyone, things will stay as they are.
I can't imagine there are many people who have VM that don't have access to a HDTV.
