if i wanted to watch game of thrones etc i'd have switched to sky now. i havent. if i desperately want to watch it but can't be bothered switching and all the hassle i can now get now tv. the attraction for sky of keeping it "exclusive" away from virgin media customers is dwindling.

VM wont budge with the price and sky are just missing out on advertisement money to spite themselves.

But as we all know sky are a spiteful bunch.

and you wont see the content provider complaining too much, they got a a nice exclusive bonus which obviously makes it their worthwhile and for every x amount of person illegally downloading there is a percentage buying the boxset because of the interest generated from this exclusive deal and that is more profit in their pockets.
I would like to see Now Tv available on Apple TV before I would consider getting it (really cant justify gettinga 2nd smart box just for this reason but this is a reflection on Apple needing to provide more on their side), although I am concerned about this exclsuivity becoming the norm, it seems netflix and amazon are now trying this and we could run the risk of subscribing to many just to obtain a few

If I'm not passed out in bed after painting most of the day, then I will be here. Might have to leave this thread open so I don't miss the actual announcement.
Wanting all the remaining Sports channels in HD, not fussed about the news/sports news being in HD. Atlantic, take it or leave it (personally speaking of course).

 | That may very well be true if we were purely talking about adding subscribers but recent research suggests many people stay with Sky because of the channel , don't take my word for that others can confirm what I'm saying.

Subscriptions are becoming harder and harder to come by so common sense tells you its worth holding onto the ones you've already got , why strengthen your competitors offering just for a little extra ad revenue.

 | aye thats a good point actually. so it would just be really whether sky are worried that people would jump ship for VM's super fast broadband/free BT sports package. They'd be the only sort of things to attract sky customers really (my broadband certainly isnt super fast either at the moment...) be interesting to see the stats though.

At the moment Vm and sky are playing tennis together with these back and forth new customer offers getting more and more attractive.

Keep a eye out on your post or emails. VM are sending out 3 month half price Sky movies and sports offers. I had one this morning but it don't interest me.
