Samsung F5000 TV

Just got this TV today and wanted to know how to completely turn the TV off (not standby). When I press the power off button on the remote and at the back of the TV, the red light stays on.

Re: Samsung F5000 TV

I have a 7000 series Samsung and I switch it off at the main plug when we go to bed at night, it is the only way.

Re: Samsung F5000 TV

99% of TVs only go to standby now. They use very little power now and most peoples TVs are on for so long I think that is why they took away a normal off button.

Re: Samsung F5000 TV

Got one of these a few weeks ago for the bedroom and although the standby light looks bright, it doesnt actually light up the room at all. No options in the menu's to turn it off that I saw so black electrical tape over the LED is your best bet.

Superb picture on this model!
