Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
If they had the squad depth then he wouldn't rush Walcott and Wilshere back before they are fully recovered. Think if they had a gentle time when returning they would remain fitter for longer. Just my opinion though.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
of course. Squad depth has always been an issue for years now and burning players out as a result isn't a surprise. We're all going round in circles. Everyman and his dog knows whats wrong at Arsenal yet the people at the club cannot or will not address it.

Everton look in good spirit and they know how to hit on the break as well.

Kallstrom looks a unit. If he reads the game well then he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Re: Is it time for Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal?
The answer to your question Arthur is no as would someone else ever be able to do the job Mr Wenger has done so far at Arsenal.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Alan Sugar was on Twitter last night asking Spurs fans if they would have Wenger at Spurs if he left Arsenal this summer. Whilst they gambled with Graham, cannot see them taking a punt on Wenger.

Wenger wouldn't join Spurs no matter how much abuse he gets from Arsenal fans plus he'll have choice of near enough all jobs.

Stifled somewhat. And commercially they haven't even had great success apart from the recent Puma deal which will be considered above average soon.

Would Dein be able to do what he used to do? Hasn't been in football for a while....

He's still involved in the game. He was advising Liverpool and Everton not long ago. Question for me is would he be given freedom if reinstated?

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Sir Alex Ferguson verbally abused by United fans for appointing David Moyes
• First sign of open revolt against Moyes' managership
• Defeat guarantees fewest points in Premier League era
Manchester United supporters vented their anger at the former manager Sir Alex Ferguson at the end of the shambolic 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford. In the first signs of open revolt at David Moyes, fans furiously questioned Ferguson's decision to appoint the Scot as his replacement

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Might be drastic, but not surprised. It was always a question of WHEN not IF the fans patience ran out. The question now is, will the board and Wenger listen to the fans, or will they just carry on burying their heads in the sand?

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Fans are furious. Its the first time I've actually seen this level of anger. I mean fans are calling Wenger 'SIF' = Specialist In Failure. Kind of funny tbh. History is history. Arsene oversaw an historic stadium move but its now time to move forward.
On another note I've been voicing Cavani a bit lately and theres good reason for that. One I'd love to see him at Arsenal. Secondly is Messi. A lot of people expects Messi to sign a record breaking contract at Barca but there are a few that believe firmly that a NEW challenge may be something that Messi is seriously considering. PSG will throw a bucket load of money at him. In recent weeks gone by Man City let it be known that they are willing to trigger his current release clause. If Messi goes to PSG then Cavani will be surplus to requirements. There will be though a host of clubs interested no doubt but Wenger does have an upper hand somewhat. Arsene had a hand in PSG being taken over by Qatari folk, I'm not sure whether he was financially rewarded for that, nonetheless they may be happier dealing with Arsene instead of say Jose. Having said all that its only one player and one player isn't enough. Arsenal always get the 1 or 2 signings done eventually yet its never enough.

He was loyal to Arsenal and now wanted to be rewarded and Arsenal wont cough up. My opinion of Sagna is hes really hit and miss. Versatile defending but going forward na. Training could be at fault of that I don't know. What is clear is Zabaleta is better driving forward.

Twitter isn't really representative of the entire fan base nor is someone posting a flag of anything. This is not the worst it's been. The worst was United last year.
I mean Specialist in Failure is a bit meek. Co-opting Mourinho's insult speaks volumes of some of these internet dwellers. I think there are legitimate questions about the way we go into big games and if Wenger has the ability to tactically outwit the likes of Rodgers and Mourinho as well as our transfer policy last summer. However Wenger will always be a club legend and will stand with Chapman as one of our greatest managers. So any internet-dwelling plastic fan that starting supporting Arsenal around the glory years who personally insults the man should go and support Chelsea like they would have done had they been born a couple of years later. No time for them. When he goes Wenger will have this statue and his status and these fans, no matter how hard they'll later try to deny it, won't be able to take back the way they treated a club legend.
Anyway I wouldn't be as opposed to Wenger stepping down this season although I would support him if he stayed. The question is who to take over. Klopp is obvious but who else is a realistic possibility and would be good?

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
'SIF' isn't from twitter or the internet for that matter. Fans out in the open world have jumped on it.
I cannot believe you've taken it to that extreme Damien. Everyone acknowledges Wengers achievements but moving forward its weak! He cannot even tactically prepare well enough to give the big hitters in the league a game of football! That is poor! Legend he is but God he is not.
