anyway lets now reminds ourselves how much money Arsenal have...
140+ in the bank. 100m of that can be spent. summer will see even healthier account sheets, 180m+ in the bank. next figures will show other half season, PL & TV revenue, new puma deal and land/property sale! = £££

It is only idiotic, if they still get relegated.

That's a near certainly given the idiots who run some of these clubs.

Just read a tweet from Accrington Stanley via David Lloyd that Sir Tom Finney's died. Can't find anything on mainstream news

Doesn't seem relevant, it's not going to be a proper league, basically the only thing that's changing is that up to four over age players can play for the u21's, they will play in the stadium and there will be a TV deal, which is probably why they want to do it, we had competitive reserve leagues with the combination leagues years ago and we did away with them, this will hinder young players development as they won't go out on loan for competitive league matches anymore. Why do you think it's a good idea?

I agree, the Premier league have obviously decided that there's not enough football being broadcast and are intent on milking every last drop of revenue out of clubs on their books whatever the cost. Young players should be nurtured and developed away from the spotlight of mainstream broadcast media. I don't even agree with reserve games being shown on clubs' streaming channels. Improving grass roots football? Blatant exploitation imho.

Granted it was good when we had the Combination Leagues years ago but are not the Authorities not planning to restrict the loan system soon so the top clubs can't loan out all the countless players they buy and if that is the case then they will have to play in something and as such l think we should give it a chance at least.

Or perhaps they won't get bought at all until they're ready for the move, why stifle young talent in a meaningless glorified under 21 league, at least with the current loan system, despite it's flaws they're getting proper games and experience.
