Well considering the rubbish Telford has posted over the years how can anyone take him at his word now. He has been proven to have posted fake speed tests before now that had been edited. I just dont trust anything he posts now.

For what it's worth......
I've seen TelfordCables posts on few forums under various names, ADSLMax being one of them,
From what I can gather he lives in the TF7 area of Telford and is connected to the Cuckoo Oak exchange (Just Google cuckoo oak fibre to the cabinet, any forum post you'll find in any name is usually Telford cable)
Now Cuckoo Oak has recently been FTTC enabled and the TF7 area of Telford is currently having FTTC cabinets installed all over by OR.
I believe this is Telford cable from the posting style...

He hasn't posted the actual IP address and IP addresses are public anyway.

Question for the forum staff here, are ip addresses ever shared with anyone, such as VM staff.
Kushan, which forums publicy expose ip address's of their posters, thats quite a claim you have there.

As has been frequently stated before, ip addresses are not shared with anyone.

That's not what I'm claiming at all, I'm just saying that if you go on the internet and expect your IP to be "private" in some capacity, you're going to have a bad time. I don't really know where the law stands on this one, but I'm fairly certain that displaying someone's IP address is not a breach of privacy. Either way it's a moot point because the address itself was never posted, just that it was a PlusNet address - which isn't exactly private information.

Re: (Advice) Thinking of leaving Virgin Media 120mb for BT Infinity up to 76mb
Wind your necks in please. We have no obligation to keep your IP secret. It is not personally identifying information. If you post on Wikipedia without being a logged in member they expose your IP address.
@Telfordcable, threaten to sue a member of this forum's staff again and I will remove you, immediately and permanently. We put up with enough nonsense as it is and do not tolerate pathetic threats from amateur lawyers. You have been warned in the past about making verifiably false claims on this forum, do not be surprised that we find it necessary to check up on you.
Everyone else: we do not routinely share your IP with anyone. We would do so in the course of a fraud investigation; if someone was making false representations on this forum about their Internet connection we would check the IP in order to expose an attempt to mislead our members. It is perfectly possible to do that without publishing the IP address.
