That's one reason only Sir but there are 10 reasons or more on why people should get a TiVo.

It's one reason indeed, but I have many more. Yet I've debated this many times and nobody can offer me anything that TiVo offers me over my V+ that I'm interested in. Sorry.

I'm not sure what this post means, am I right to interpret this as Quest +1 has just launched on Freeview, so you think it will become part of the M+ pack and above?
If so, I think that it will be moved to the M pack, along with all the other Freeview channels.
-ITV Encore
-ITV Encore HD
-ITV Encore +1
Aren't the above channels Sky only, with no plans to launch on VM??

Unfortunately, if you want to stay with VM, there will come a time when you have no choice but to give up the V+.

I agree. I hope that time is some time away, but when it comes, I will have to leave. But hey, never mind. The thing that has mainly kept me with VM is the fast BB, but Sky's has largely caught up, so no biggie anymore eh?

Looks like Virgin are reacting to demand:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...rogrammes.html
"Up to a quarter of the TV audience in the UK is posting content related to the show they are watching on Facebook."
The way people watch and enjoy TV is evolving and it looks like Virgin will be leading from the front in terms of social media interaction. Not everyone's cup of tea however this type of live interaction is expected to grow quickly over the next 24 months.

If you are going to highlight and post grammatical errors from others, please try not to make them yourself - I do find it as comical as I do ironic. As far as I remember, you are supposed to use a full stop at the end of a sentence.
I am happy to be corrected (on both my grammar and/or lack thereof) though.

No one's perfect, and you shouldn't have to be flawless to make constructive suggestions to others. As Media Boy has a regular and extensive section on this thread, this may go some way to explaining why you feel that he gets more negative feedback on his grammar than others do.
I think on forums there's a good debate to be had as to whether constructive suggestions should be given in public in the thread or privately by PM.

Can't agree with that Andrew. There's no reason for PMs whatsoever. This is a public forum. Conversations should be held publicly otherwise we risk allegations of a clique, and nobody wants that. Particularly the fools that think that several of the others they're trusting aren't just PMing copies to the people they're talking about.
As for grammar criticism, we ALL make mistakes. But we can all also learn and improve.

Haven't you been able to do this for sometime , the average Facebook/Twitter user normally has a smartphone/tablet which can be linked to VM TIVO , Sky+HD , Connected TV's etc using companion apps like VM TV Anywhere , Sky+ app , Zeebox all of which allow you to share your tv viewing to Facebook/Twitter in a far more intuitive way and without disturbing your tv viewing.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014
It has struck me for some time that the rise in people watching live tv and posting to social media has occurred at about the same time as the rise in time shifting. Surely this suggests that live tv is far from dead, or even dying, and a complete switch over to streaming services is still some way off ?

I agree, it is better to say something like this in private to avoid taking the thread off topic and prevent possible embarrassment. It also ensures that people are doing it for the right reasons.

Correct. No-one is perfect. So why do grammar police have to pop up on here - this is not a written English exam. I disagree about not needing to be being flawless when correcting grammar though. Posters are simply waiting to be hoisted on their own petard if they wish to criticize others about grammar, and then make an extremely basic mistake.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014
And to think this used to be my favourite thread on CF. Come on everyone - where's the news, where's the rumours, where's the conjecture, where's the flights of fancy even? In short, where's anything "Coming Soon to Virgin TV"?

Indeed. This is starting to remind me of when I worked for Local Government, where we would have meetings about meetings...
