I have never really looked at Now TV Film on Demand, for £8.99 a month it is not far of Love film price. I love Netflix for TV but find their movie choice a bit lacking. Might have to look into this.

Any particular reason why you think this Den? Surely it is just as likely we will get this app as it is that we will get SA.

If you like recent films, it's not a bad option. I had a six month special offer of £2.50p/m, but at £8.99 it's not too bad, providing it's selection appeals to you. Recent films aren't that much of a draw to me so quit it at the end of the b6 months.
Vi a PC, it is only SD quality, and not very good SD in my opinion and only stereo. I believe some devices stream at 720p but still only stereo.
If they made it 1080p and 5.1 it would be pretty good value IMHO.
However, Lovefilm for £9.99 with 2 bluray discs at home at any one time plus their streaming is perhaps a better option?

Here's a site which is useful for seeing what's on each service. Unfortunately, Netflix does not permit its content to be listed but it shows most of the others. Clicking on Life of Pi shows it's available as part of the Now TV subscription, on iTunes to rent and available from other sites to buy. http://movies.tanktop.tv/filmlist/?page=0
There's also a £5pm six-month student deal available for Now TV at the moment but I understand it's open to all. http://www.nowtv.com/promo/studentof...V_studentoffer

No over xmas lots of codes were given away for free. Mainly on large packs of beers. People bought the beers and sold on the codes to off set the beer costs. The codes were going for £6 but as more came on the prices tumbled to £3.
Codes were also given away as part of a Now TV Groupon deal. 6 months movies and 6 codes was about £15
I bought a series of codes to use when a football match took my eye on a Sunday as i don't subscribe to Sky Sports. All you do is load them on your account and you can choose when to use them.

Sky just won't allow Now TV to onto a app on Virgin's platform as they won't want to give any edge to their rivals but that's only my humble opinion and l have been wrong before.

But Talk Talk are not regarded by Sky as a big rival in the TV world.

It's on YouView more generally, not only Talk Talk. I think that one of the main reasons for NOW TVs existence was to fight Netflix and Lovefilm on that new platform. The fact that so many people who were given a box, have since put them on eBay must be a disappointment.

I don't see it as a threat. Customers to Virgin are already paying Virgin the likelihood of them wanting channels they could already get from Virgin is slim. If Virgin customers cancelled they would lose the box and the access to Now TV.
This also maybe a way of Virgin bartering with Sky to get Atlantic or SS3 and 4 HD

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014
Well, the fact that there has been no news for a few months regarding Sky Bravo would indicate that talks between Sky and Virgin media are continuing. Negotiations with Sky are likely to be long and difficult.

Last year, I think there were some media reports that did lead to encouraging signs, but such reports now seem to have disappeared.
I would think Sky launching Atlantic on Now TV will mean that any launch is way into the future (if it ever does launch) as Sky will want to milk now TV based Atlantic subscriptions for as long as they can.
I think there may have been reason for hope last year, but that hope seems 'straw clutchingly' faint now.
I don't think the fact that they have extended the contract with HBO helps. Sky have obviously seen it as a USP draw to their service and wish to continue using that draw. I know there is an argument that they could benefit from selling it to help pay for it, but they have survived a good few years without needing to do that, so I don't see why they can't survive a few more.
I'm not like Dave42 who says it will never come; I just think the chances are extremely small in the near to mid future. I hope I am wrong.

Nowtv is on the list as a app, interesting.

No offence taken! To be honest, your contact is unlikely to know the position regarding Sky channels. Negotiations will be under tight secrecy. Only those directly involved and the top brass will know about this.
