Not many! It's actually closed on all platforms, not just VM. | Yup, mine was off-topic. Perhaps you should take the thread down the of trolling yourself. That was off topic too.
I guess talking about a channel which is no longer going to be available on Virgin TV is keeping strictly to the topic of "Coming seen to Virgin TV 2014."
Anyway, seeing as you are keen to keep us on topic, perhaps you have some info for it is actually "Coming soon to Virgin TV" this year? Personally I have no info to share.

The last fixtures of the Premiership are played on the 11th May. The rest of the big games that month are free on TV. The Europa League, Champions League and FA Cup finals are all live on ITV with the Scottish Cup final live on BBC Scotland. Then into June and July the BBC and ITV will cover all 64 games of the World Cup.

Of course it's not just football that we're being treated too this summer:

F1 (Spanish Grand Prix) - 11th May (BBC)
The French Open - 25th May to 8th June (ITV)
F1 (Canadian Grand Prix) - 8th June (BBC)
The Queen's Club Championships - 9th June to 15th June (BBC)
Wimbledon - 23rd June to 6th July (BBC)
Tour de France - 5th July to 27th July (ITV)
F1 (British Grand Prix) - 6th July (BBC)
The Open Championship - 13th July to 20th July (BBC)
The Commonwealth Games - 23rd July to 3rd August (BBC)
The European Athletics Championships - 10th to 17th August (BBC)
F1 (Belgian Grand Prix) - 24th August (BBC)

With the new season of the Premiership not due to start until September 2014, and a wide range of top quality sport free in HD on terrestrial television, it's certainly worth considering cancelling SKY Sports in May, June, July and August and saving yourself a small fortune.

 | Indeed Chad, I agree. I suggested this (albeit with less sporting info) some weeks back in the ESPN etc thread. Not only will customers save a vast sum of money, but Sky will notice a huge loss in revenue if enough people drop Sky Sports. If enough people could continue dropping SS and could bear to live without for the PL for the first month too, goodness knows what offers Sky might come up with for customers. |

If you have XL or VIP, with BT Sports included, you have access to some really top notch sport at no extra cost during the summer months. Come September, when the Premier League returns, BT Sports will be offering up fixtures so it's not as if football fans would totally miss out by waiting to resubscribe to SKY Sports in October. A 7 month on, 5 month off cycle for SKY Sports is pretty appealing in terms of saving money during the summer months. It also shows SKY Sports maybe isn't the big daddy we make it out to be.
