Incorrect Den. The Mods have moved to rectify that. This thread is about what's coming soon and what's rumoured to be coming soon.
Not sure why you see fit to continually belittle posters who say it's not calling them sour-pusses or similar is beyond me. All they're doing is telling it like it is.
If you want a forum where people live in la-la land where everything is going to be on VM next week including live volleyball from Mars (not sure about the capital M there either, can someone advise?) without anyone challenging it, so be it. But I'd prefer a coming soon thread where people can discuss what's coming soon or is rumoured to be. The rumours need to have some credibility though, rather than the made up to impress the gullible that we've suffered lately.

I must admit that I'd prefer to see a link to evidence or proof whenever someone posts a rumour. If they can't post a link, provide proof, or share who their source is then I ain't believing it.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I think it's fair to say that, if negotiations originally reported in June last year are still on-going, they aren't going too well. The original article in Broadcast is well past its shelf life and certainly doesn't give any credibility to any speculation in 2014.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014
Again Sky Atlantic isn't coming anytime soon as i posted before 3 different sources have confirmed this.
No i will not reveal my sources to anyone here or elsewhere 85% of what i said was happening has happened so that speaks for itself on how reliable my sources are.
Have i had duff info in past? Hell yes i have but i just put up my hands and say "my source was wrong" maybe OB does know something we don't, maybe he doesn't.
Let's just stop all the bitching and go back to just enjoying the thread you never know i may have some huge news for you soon but i also may not too.

I agree with you. A lot of of the things everyone wants, will appear in the coming months but not SA. No source but will bet I am right. Remember the post number.

If the information is relatively up to date and not influenced by Jack Daniel's, it is worth a mention.

Have to agree. To have no further updates, or leaked information from either company, over the past 7 months suggests no real progress has been made.... if they where ever in meaningful talks in the first place. Too many of these stories, that make their way into the press, never seem to have a credible source at the heart of it. It's always a faceless "a source confirmed".

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV 2014
Whether people like it or not, Sky Atlantic (specifically HBO shows) are a big glaring gap in the line up of a premium pay TV provider.
Therefore, people are going to want to talk about that.
For people who have been members of this forum for a long number of years, this has traditionally been the thread where such things are discussed, and I personally don't see any reason why that should change.
Skip the posts if the ones containing Atlantic discussion bores you.

I think you're being too sensitive. Nobody's criticising you on this occasion. You've provided some provenance by saying that your information comes from people you know within VM. This gives your readers the opportunity to judge whether to believe what you say or not. Sometimes you've been right, sometimes you haven't, who cares? You did your best to help.
I hope you do have huge news for us soon...

Clearly and there's nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately, talking about it won't make it appear any faster, if at all.

Now Dave remember those words you and others consistently came out with leading up to August and what were they "BT Sports is not coming" and nothing is going to change that were your words and others.
