Well its does not rain but it pours for the embattled Moyes.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
and in other news Wenger wants the January window closed
Quote:
Wenger added: "The transfer market is a distraction that for me is not welcome. I think it would be much better that there is no transfer market at all in January and the team starts and finishes with the same players would be fair unless you have big injuries."

I think it's a good idea myself. The team you enter the season with is the one you have to use.

West Ham wanted him

Quote:
Arsène Wenger is adamant that Theo Walcott’s greatest asset, his lightning pace, will be undiminished by surgery to his cruciate knee ligament but has admitted that he would be less certain of a full recovery if the injury had happened later in his career.
Wenger also admitted that he fears Abou Diaby will not return to full fitness before the end of the season but is confident that Tomas Rosicky will sign another one-year extension to his contract.

Diaby has got injured again while being injured, basically a new injury appeared.
Good news about Rosicky, a few years ago we were all talking about the non-existent older heads in the group.
Sagna is undoubtedly an asset but he didn't ever step up, I mean when he came he grew and grew into the game and it was just a matter of time before I thought he would start banging in loads of goals but he's become really hit and miss, even at crossing the ball. Sadly during periods where he was showing great great promise he hit bad times like the death of his brother, then injuries/brakes
Give him the captaincy

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
£7.5 million for someone who has not played all season.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
If it is true (i tend to view media stories with suspicion), and he is contrite, then good on him.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, 26, banned for 10 games for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic at the end of last season, says he is trying to change his attitude because he knows it was wrong in the past.

We all make mistakes in life Colin and the key is to learn from them and not repeat them again.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
This is what I have never understood about the likes of Suarez, Drogba and Ronaldo. They are bloody good players but the diving, cheating and just generally being an absolute plonker doesn't endear them to anyone but the fans of their own teams.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
I am watching soccer saturday, and they are discussing Man Utd.
They switched to Jamie redknapp, who said, what Man utd players would get into the Man City team. he mentioned Van Persie and rooney as certainties (or mentioned them).
I am not sure. Both would improve the squad, but I wouldn't swap aguero or nelgrado for either.
Am i biased?

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Could be argued that De Gea is better than Hart or Pantswhatsit.

sigh...pantilimon...though I appreciate it is an unusual name compared to de gea, so would be hard for some.
And could be argued that de gea is, at times. If Hart was playing at his best (and not sure he is), then i wouldn't say that.
