Question Smallest PC case that this would fit in

Hi,

At the moment I have an Antec 902 case for my PC.
But will be moving my room around and maybe getting rid of my desk, and getting a TV unit to hold all my stuff.

So the Antec 902 would be out of place.

This is what I have in it:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3
Graphic Card: XFX ATI HD6870 1GB
Ram: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1333Mhz
Hard Drives: 500GB Western Digital – Sata II and External 500GB

I think the biggest problem be the graphic card, due to it size.
I would like a VCR or a small case, but not a tower unless I can help it.

So what is the smallest case this lot will fit in?

Depends on what cooler your using for the cpu and also if you would be willing to swap out the board for a ITX board, and then you can swap the case for something like a Prodigy or EVGA Hadron Air.

turn the antec on its side and put under the tv buy /build a unit to take it. You rom will still accept a disc and hold it

While i'm sure that would be fine in a pinch the 902 isn't likely to blend in

Looks like your motherboard is standard ATX - and there are only a few Media Centre Cases that take a full ATX.
There is also the rather pricy Fractal Design Node 605 - and only supports a slimline optical drive, and not even that with a full ATX board.

Not sure if the height of these requires a low profile card, or if the slots are full height

Thermaltake DH202 looks like another full ATX capable, and looks like it is full height
Silverstone GD08 review says it takes a full size HD7970

any atx case on its side then or you could fit none lighting fans and then tune the cooling so the pc does not get to hot or is over cooled and to noisy. All my fans are on bare min and it keeps the pc cool enough and you can hardly hear it

Re: Smallest PC case that this would fit in

We have 2 trendsonic opera media cases, they take full size atx boards, full height cards, 2x5.25 and 2x3.5 front audio and USB.
They are about the same size as a standard tower
