Cost of a V HD box

I want to upgrade my SD box to an HD one. The VM web site says it is a one off cost of £20, but when I tried to order one it said the cost would be £49.95.
Anyone know which price is correct?
Thanks

Re: Cost of a V HD box

Self install of a VHD is indeed £20, the £49.95 will be the install cost of a TiVo.

Give CS a call and they will arrange to send one out to you

Re: Cost of a V HD box

I did this the other day and it cost me nothing. My sons box ( sd ) was freezing now and then and they were going to send an engineer. I asked if he could have an hd box instead of his sd box. It showed up on the bill as a £20 charge but also has a £20 credit against it.

Re: Cost of a V HD box

Engineers can upsell on some box replacements. The £20 charge is post & packing for the self-install you didn't need.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I need to talk to someone in CS rather than rely on the online ordering system.

Re: Cost of a V HD box

Rang CS and was given a V HD box at no cost, upgrade of internet from 20MB to 30MB, a new wireless router, presumably a superhub, all for a £2.50 reduction in monthly cost. All self installation. I would have needed a superhub in March/April when my speed is increased to 50MB anyway. Also offered a Tivo instead at an extra cost of £1.85 per month, but I don't have the need for one of those.
Not a bad result
