Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Not sure it's worth firing AVB now. They gave them the money in the summer and he pretty much purchased a whole new team, these defeats aren't really acceptable but you've got to look beyond half a season to the longer term. Also at what point does Daniel Levy get questioned for the transfer and recruitment at the club?

We'll see if he gets fired or not. It depends if they still think they can make top four. If they do then they may as well get it over with now, otherwise give him the season.

AVB the overrated Mourinho wannabe. Apart from inherit an unbeatable Porto team his career is hardly that impressive. His tactics are absurd and simply don't work in the English game.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
The sacking of AVB is the best news for Spurs. Spurs have always been an exciting side to watch.
But Baldini should take much of the blame for this, he has brought in players that are not performing - Soldado is one of them them. He will do down as the worst striker that we have borugh. He brought back Adebayor for ONE game against his old club and then said he was injured.
We were two nil down against Liverpool, he should have taken off and played Defoe up front with Townsend.
Some of the decisions AVB has made have even made me wonder. Spurs fans have been criticised for failing to support their team, its down to the manager to make sure players perform on the pitch.
The most bizarre decision was when Loris got a neck injury and he went against medical advice and allowed Loris to continue.
You could clearly see that the medical team wanted him off, but Loris went back on.
I think that Harry, won't go back. But in the frame would be Guus Hiddink or Martin Jol, who was loved by the fans.

I think Levy has to take some of the blame now too, he is responsable for hiring these managers and some of the transfer policy.

To be fair, at the time of appointment he was hot news, he'd flopped massively at Chelsea but that could have been a one off. It's evident from his time at Spurs that he's simply a flop in English football. Odds on for the United job then.
As for Transfers, it's the same old problem I've mentioned so many times, you simply cannot buy a tonne of players and stick them on the pitch and achieve success. United don't do it, Liverpool don't do it, Arsenal don't do it. Chelsea don't do it 'Anymore'. You add a player here and there each window and build upon that. Man City were guilty of it in their early financial boost.
In fact AVB did the same thing at Chelsea too... The guy is an idiot. His tactics make no sense, his starting 11 choices at Chelsea were laughable, his claims Drogba and co were past it and Lampard needed to go blew right up in his face when Drogba and co brought home the Champions League.

AVB hinted that he wasn't responsible for the purchases the other day. Never rated him, who couldn't win the Portuguese league with hulk and moutiniho in the team and it's typical they sack him says before the hammers play them, hoddle to return is being touted
