UFC Prelims faults Again

I came here a while ago about the prelims not playing after being recorded but I deleted it before I could get all the details. Well it's failed three more times since and I now have new equipment too.

The main program plays fine, the prelims played fine last night as I watch half of it before I got too tired and went to bed. I watched the recording that was in progress.

This morning it tells my I am not subscribed to the channel, but I am. Code 2042. Recorded in SD just to test it from HD that fails also. Samsung box, newly installed yesterday, did have the old Atlanta one. Program was on 10:00 to 1:00. This is too much now. There was some good fights last night and once again I am not going to get to see them. How come it was okay last night and it's not this morning? I assume this is what is happening every time. It even says part viewed, as it knows I was watching it last night.

Thanks for highlighting I've missed the show completely. My series record has not even picked up either of the show's on BT Sports 2. I've probably missed quite a few fights. Thought it had gone quiet for a while.

Re: UFC Prelims faults Again

Problem is, they are now blaming the boxes and keep trying to palm me off with a Tivo box. I don;t want Tivo at all. It gets on my nerves as I was watching the recording to at least the half way point 'till I went to bed. The 1st prelim fight was very good, 2nd was quite good too. I've been missing these great fights since it moved over to BT sport. BT sport are doing a great job for the UFC, but somewhere along the line it's getting messed up by Virgin.

The main event is on two more times this week so you'll be able to watch it. The prelims are never shown again, and that annoys me.

Are there any more of these programmes scheduled? If so, when?

Re: UFC Prelims faults Again

December the 28th is a main event. I'm sure there will be some prelims.

Aha! 29th Dec 01:00-03:00 "UFC Prelims 168". Is that it?

I'll set up a recording on a V+ for this and see what happens. Meanwhile I suggest you set a manual recording. (Or there's still time to get a TiVo installed )

Re: UFC Prelims faults Again

I don't want Tivo. I have had 2 rises in price this year and a third if I take Tivo. Sometimes the Prelims are on at silly times so I'd either have to get up and press record or stay up and wait. The program is recording and playing fine until it does what ever it does at the end and stops me watching it.

To set a manual recording, you don't need to press record at the start of the programme. You can do it in advance. Press the V+ button, then 2, then 2.

Re: UFC Prelims faults Again

Just asking, but why would this make a difference? I ask because the program does record and it does finish and it does let me watch it if I start the playback before the recording ends.

I'm not certain it will, but it's worth a try. I have a theory it is caused by an error in the guide data, and using a manual recording will avoid this.

Re: UFC Prelims faults Again

It's very strange because only since BT Sport took over has it started. I always record SD and HD if possible too as HD had failed in the past.
