That's a price that is sure to be gobbled at
Don't know or looked at prices, but tesco is probably one of, if not the most expensive of the big retail supermarkets tho some bargains can be found.

Re: Turkeys
84 quid? is it a special free range breed??
crowns are around 20 to 30 quid looks like you are paying 40 quid up for a bird so that is more expensive than last year
I am having beef this year but will pop in Asda Christmas eve afternoon to see if any birds are on offer
asda are about 8 quid a kilo so yes very expensive indeed
Frozen birds are of course a lot cheaper @ about £3.50 per kilo

Re: Turkeys
I'm not a fan of turkey, Find it too dry.
Or if I could I'd have some Venison.
I prefer Chicken.
Can't beat a bit of breast.

Re: Turkeys
It's one of them environmental friendly ones that roam around the farm and mix with the other animals.
I like the turkey being dry. I think that's the whole point.
I love it cold too dipped into salad cream

If you've got a Costco or a Bookers near to you, and can get, or know someone with a membership card, go there. Whole turkeys and crowns are much cheaper.
