Give me my show!!
Very Peeved. My V+ has decided yet again that I can't watch the latest show in a series I had set to record..Getting sick of the odd 'recovered' junk as well.
Now it looks like I'm going to lose the plot literally.
Is it time to demand a new one? Or will I just get a refurbished one?

I'd second this, TiVo is miles ahead of the V+ Maggy.

Plus £50 activation, unless you can knock them down.

Have a moan to VM and you might get the installation fee for free, otherwise good luck with your V+ box replacement or existing

Re: Give me my show!!
I recently upgraded from V+HD to Tivo on to the premier collection (?) and the install fee was waived. I didn't even have to ask. If you ask, I'm sure they'll do it.

Re: Give me my show!!
You must have a fault on your box, call them and ask for a replacement.
My old V+ went faulty last month and I got a brand new one to replace it, but I was offered another TiVo if I wanted.
If you don't ask you don't get.

I'd recommend looking at upgrading to a collection as others have said as TiVo is included and you can try and barter with them for a free install. Essential Collection with XL TV would be closest match to your current services and is £61.99 per month if that's within your budget.

Re: Give me my show!!
I would think if VM are coming out to replace the V+ Box in any case I would expect they would upgrade you for free and waver any activation costs. I’m sure I never paid VM to activate either of my Tivo boxes, its not something I would willingly pay. Get on to VM, I’m sure if you do you could negotiate this and get any fees waved definitely worth a try.
