Yup. Makes you wonder why so many of his members didn't bother to vote for him when giving him a thumping majority would clearly add to his credibility and bargaining power.

If they were that unhappy you think they'd vote him out or leave the union, not increase membership by nearly a quarter under his stewardship.

Sarcasms better for those having to read it if it either funny or relevant to what's been said previously, sadly that's neither.

Well some people do find it difficult. London has a especially vast and confusing underground system and it's intuitive to Britons, especially Londoners, but it seems as if it can be confusing to foreigners. Especially those who do not have an equivalent metro system where they live.

Of course some people do. Some people find all sorts of things difficult. That's why staff aren't being done away with full stop.

Having used a ticket window on the tube once, and having had to shout to make myself heard through the glass in a noisy station, I can say the ticket window is the very last place I would be queuing to ask for help getting around.
If help is what people need, then designated helpers on the concourse and platforms is the way to go.

So you get apply at work for a loan for an annual ticket. They issue you a cheque, you now go to the nice shiny machine to renew (or first time purchase) your annual ticket. Hmm! Which zones if that needs changing? You can't wait for post as you need new ticket tomorrow, you can't get to central London as you don't need zone 1.

Re: All Tube Ticket offices to close by 2015
Heero, Do you ever use the London Underground, as you are from Worthing. The Underground system is already a crime haven, yes, it has CCTV. Do you know how many ticket office's staff numbers there are approx ONE to each office.
Earls Court and Piccadilly Circus, and Victoria have more due to the size of the stations.
This story MORE staff, is a myth, they are CUTTING staff, not employing more. Any staff that is surplus will be laid off. This is why Bob Crow is asking for more talks on redundancies.
Wasn't it two years ago Tfl, wanted to increase the amount of trains on the lines - which Bo Crow said would be dangerous. You can only get so many trains on a section of line.
You must have staff in a station- there are many stations that don't have staff, and this is where crime is happening. I know many police officers from BTP, who say that crime is risiong on the Tube.
The Tube is larger than any othere network in the world (unless someone else can prove me wrong) Yes, we have Dockland Railways which is driverless etc, BUT this is only a small line compared to the Underground.
