Re: 6.7% Price Increase From February!

Im not a sports fan so u shouldnt be forced to pay more for channels specially sports i dont want.

ill just take off my 08 add on and reduce my broadband or cause im leaving virgin mobile im saving a quid per month on one contract so thats 3 quid with reducing bb speed and the other conttact going in sim only saving 6 quid so 9 quid saving to compensate the price hike.

Re: 6.7% Price Increase From February!

Everyone's getting in on the high price rise hikes.

we're supposed to be in the state where we expect things to rise dramatically. so they come as no shock to us when they do and we just accept them.

you wouldn't think people weren't supposed to have any money, would you.

Re: 6.7% Price Increase From February!

Letter advising £4.75 increase - What's the price difference between 30MB & 60MB, because I'm currently on 60MB XL and it's part of the bundled charges. If we are getting a 20MB speed boost I could quite easily live with 50MB broadband and save a little by dropping down a tier.

It won't be any greener on the other side as their bills will go up soon enough.

Re: 6.7% Price Increase From February!

My letter came today, £5.50 rise.

Line rental up £1
XL TV up £2.50
BB 30MB up £2

Called Retentions with true intentions on leaving for the first time after 15 years and after a que of 10 mins, (seemed very busy in the background) and a phone call lasting 30 mins the lovely lady I spoke to got me to stay for another year.
She was very down to earth and agreed that the price rise was steep this year. Great customer service and made me feel valued again as a customer.

Stayed with the same services with my bill being reduced too.

Re: 6.7% Price Increase From February!

6.7% is a lie.

My increase is 10.5%, I've seen others report increases in the range of 8 to 15%.

So how have they come up with this 6.7% figure ? Think I've worked it out - it relates to line rental only, £14.99 to £15.99 is 6.7% ! How many customers just pay line rental ? So saying its an 'average' is an outright lie.

Somebody at VM must think they're very clever. However most of their customers aren't that stupid (well those that can work out percentages anyway...)
