Virgin tv are gone at end of my contract they're at it again making offers on my account and not honuring them they can stick their tv where the sun don't shine lol.
I'm waiting for ceo office to contact me hopefully they'll sort this out.
I agree with you the price hike is too much.

Virgin Media is getting expensive. Personally I'm waiting to see if any sweeteners in the way of new channels are offered when the next round of price rises happens.

If you aren't happy you can now break your contract BECAUSE of the price hike.

I guess that is Virgin's real strong point, but it is starting to lose that advantage to BT and the others (including Sky).

I, too, am waiting for the letter before I call and cancel - Sky is going to be £15 a month cheaper AND I can now get FTTC.

I'm on a 12 month half price offer with Sky atm for tv that doesn't run out until August 2014 so losing VMs tv is no biggie.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.

We haven't had the price rise letter yet however I am starting to price up Sky TV, the thing is, I'd have to keep VM broadband and I like my 120mb which is pretty pricey on its own!

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.

I personally don't think VM is expensive, in my case, i guess it depends if you want all the sport/movies etc, at the end of the day Pay TV/Broadband is a choice, if you don't want to pay it, don't have it.

In my experience, VM is way less expensive than SKY and I was with them for 11 Years, it would take a lot to make me even consider moving back to them.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.

Agreed, my triple play deal has a good discount I will lose if I break it up and even if I moved all 3 to Sky or BT, FTTC or Infinity 2 right now, means I can only get 45MB download at my post code, versus 60MB from VM now and 100MB next year. Don't like price rises and this one is getting close to a decision point admitedly, but that would be to downgrade my package rather than move. I expect VM are gong to be busy on that point now and in the New Year which should tell them they are reaching the maximum tolerance level of households with other bill increases on the way like gas/electricity. While earnings growth lags behind inflation, budgets will come under pressure and TV/BB is not as importnt as heating say.

That's good to hear. However this is not the case for everyone. And you are right, people have the choice, pay it or don't. Stick with virgin or don't.

I won't be, unless they can beat the deal I will get moving to Sky. That is the great thing about choice.

My sister has just been offered a great deal from SKY to go back, Free unlimited Broadband and free Sky TV for a year!. (Not Moives/Sport), but still a fab offer, she just has to pay line rental.

I've been crying out for years for this and the last few pages of this thread are a prime example of it being needed.

We could do with a thread that only MB and maybe some select others can post to of rumours or fact so the likes of me who don't sit on here all the time don't have to sift through all the 'chat' to find out what may be going off.

It's a great forum and great people on here but my word half the threads don't stick to what they are labelled as.

Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 6.

Personally I like all the various chat that goes on in here. There can be some quite informative information, not necessarily of what is coming soon, but of what is also doing rounds (offers etc.) from other tv providers that you wouldn't necessarily know about.
