Re: TV Anywhere Android App
Don't forget this document has been pulled, so it's possible it was not an up to date compatibility list. Does anyone know what the situation is with regards streaming Sky Sports? Obviously it is available by TV Anywhere but not the app? This would be the main use for me to be honest so very disappointing if it is not there. Surely the channels in the app should be the same as via the website?

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
Everything is moving to the mobile world... Sky know this and have not allowed Virgin (as yet) to allow their channels to be streamed on anything more than a PC/laptop.
A few weeks ago now I used TV Anywhere on a laptop for that very reason and when entering it asked if I wanted to be part of a survey.
Many questions involved things like would I use my app more on my iPad if you could use Movies & Sports on it. Worryingly another question was would I be willing to pay for that etc.
So seems it is something they may like to have a go at getting but if Sky are going to charge more to Virgin for letting them do that then they may have to pass that charge onto us the customer.
I use my in laws Sky Go due to them not having any tech or broadband. Unfortunately they have now got a tablet and will be getting a laptop as they now have broadband so looks like I will lose my Sky Go as they will want to use it.
I am very keen to see it available on tablets but not holding my breath

Back on topic -
I will be astonished if TV anywhere does not work on the HTC One, VM will receive a strongly worded e-mail if not. If the HTC One V can handle it, surely its far superior model would be able to?

1st point, I have, yes. I'm with o2 now but the handset was supplied by a 3rd party and is unlocked.
2nd point I fully agree. Just strange that they would specify Google edition in the list.

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
TV companies need to work together to drop this arbitrary restriction on mobile devices. Now that full fat windows tablets are nearing the sub £400 mark why restrict a iPad from some channels when a windows tablet tablet can see the content via the webpage?

Any idea when it will ACTUALLY arrive (we haven't been waiting a long time for it)?

Fingers crossed it won't be long, and we will no longer be the poor cousins of iOS :p

Can anyone confirm if the iOS app streams over 3G?

I can confirm that you CANNOT stream over 3G/4G on the iOS app, you have to be connected via Wifi

Re: TV Anywhere Android App
You can set up recordings, manage your list of shows that you've recorded and delete/amend them if necessary over 3G/4G.
Everything else - streaming available channels, using the app as your TiVo remote - require a wifi connection
