Sky Atlantic on Now TV - Are you going to pay for it?
This is more to gauge an opinion in general.
Sky Atlantic is now available on Now TV for (currently) £4.99 a month. Are you likely to purchase this as well as paying your subscription to Virgin Media? Or would you reduce your VM Subscription to pay for Now TV?

Re: Sky Atlantic on Now TV - Are you going to pay for it?
I bought a Now TV box and think it's pretty good value for a tenner. I reviewed it the other day on the VMHD blog for watching Sky Atlantic. I was pretty impressed.
The biggest downside for me is that is that I can't record Atlantic shows on my TiVo nor on my old Panasonic DVD recorder (which only accepts SCSI input). And it's SD only (albeit very good SD). Having said that, the Catch Up on Now TV has the last four week's new episodes, can be paused and FF/RW and I think may be in 720p (need to check that).
It's £4.99 a month only as an "introductory offer" - don't know what it will be by the time Game of Thrones and Mad Men return next spring. If we still don't have Atlantic on Virgin by then I'll probably pay for Now TV for a few months when those two shows return (they normally broadcast very close together).
As Seinfeld once said, "I don't wanna be pirate"...

The simple answer to that is no.

Re: Sky Atlantic on Now TV - Are you going to pay for it?
Looking at their website as things stand no but I would consider it if they made box sets of most of their SA shows like Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones etc available to watch.
As it is i'm happy enough buying the DVD's of the shows I want to watch.

Re: Sky Atlantic on Now TV - Are you going to pay for it?
Never. Simply not worth it. Too many over rated shows, and even more repeats. Plus the price is most likely going to increase too, making it even more pointless for me.

I also think it's overrated I was with sky for 3 years before I moved back to vm in June , never watched Atlantic at all.

I second this. Got Sky right now and have never watched it at all.

Do you honestly think Sky are targeting VM customers ? I certainly don't , the product is geared up for those with Freeview who don't want 12-18 month contracts. Sky Atlantic isn't the only content available on Now TV , with options for movies , entertainment , the ability to purchase a cheap streaming device for under a tenner with catchup facilities and Sky Store soon to be added the all round package is a decent proposition for those wanting to dip their toes into pay tv it's never going to satisfy your premium pay tv subscribers nor is it meant to.
