Sky are opening up sky Atlantic to different customers now. It would make sense for it to come to virgin media now

I think you can read this in two ways though. This gives Sky another route for viewers to get Sky Atlantic, and keeping it away from VM could be seen as even more likely. It also lessens the rumbling of uncompetitive behaviour - there is not a contract-less way of getting Sky Atlantic - along with a good selection of other channels.

It's introductory until 31st March next year.
As to my statement that it is less likely, I am more than happy to be proved wrong and apologies will be forthcoming from me
[Edit] thought a bit more and that's really good pricing. I would imagine after 31st March it will be up to £9.99 per month

Nail and head spring to mind , the problem is for Sky with me they may now actually lose money , I've been contemplating dropping sport this would now mean I could add entertainment to my Now TV movies sub and the total would only be paying £13.98 and all our viewing would be covered as we have a Youview box as well.

Just remember you can't do the now TV entertainment thing on the you view box.

I don't use it on my YV , I have a few Now TV boxes and a PS3 , its also worth mentioning at the moment quite a lot of US content isn't available probably due to content contracts being negotiated some while ago , this happened when Sky On Demand first launched.

I think you're being unkind saying "quite a lot". If that list is complete I'd say it's minimal.

I agree: more likely to be on VM now as Sky will get more money wholesaling Atlantic to VM than they'll make on the NowTV subs.
Anyone know what the price will be after the "introductory £4.99 a month" expires? Also, is this SD or will it be HD? Sky Movies are supposedly 720p/1080i on NowTV.

Fair point , after reading on the community it seems to suggest the shows are only blocked on the live TV side so may be available On Demand.

Now TV should work on all those devices , I'd imagine the Entertainment is only on the Now TV box and Roku currently and will be added at a later date to other devices , I'm out so haven't checked.

You may very well be right.......I guess time will tell , Now TV Live channels are SD with On Demand currently 720p the exception being YouView which is only SD.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 5.
Thinking about this .... I may just buy the box before Christmas then activate the months free movies over the period, then cancel after
It will work out cheaper doing it that way than subscribing through Virgin for the movies

Good Food +1 eats into Bio. EPG on Virgin Media.
Good Food +1 EPG is broadcasting on Virgin Channel 242 (Bio) as well as it own channel.
It took Media Boy HQ two hours (I know I am an slow eater) to work out where the EPG was coming from.
