I agree - I am sure that they could allow Tivo to say stream from a server or PC on the same LAN. That would be a welcome addition and would negate the need for a Roku or Apple TV etc.

Oh the joy that would come with running a Plex server through Tivo. I wouldn't need to turn the thing off unless I wanted to watch a bluray or play on ps3!

The chairman of a rugby club whether an MP or not is highly unlikely to be able to get a company as large as VM to add or remove channels.

There's no need for WI-FI on Tivo when there’s a dedicated 10mb that vm could up grade the speed, if you want to stream videos to other tivo there’s no other way but use cable you will get a better result than to clog up your WI-FI
