CNET are reporting that the Canadian government are considering ending bundled tv channels.

The consequence may be that the niche channels may not have enough subscribers to survive. But hey ho. If new "channels" or programmes can pop on YouTube and Netflix, then maybe it's not all doom and gloom.

They've never had the VIP package as an exclusive for HD channels. So unless they change their entire policy i can't see this one happening

The consequence of this will be that unbundled channels will get less money from advertisers. All that is likely to happen is channels will move away from linear broadcasting to pure on-demand content.
