Re: Wifi Problems Superhub 2

I don't use ISP supplied routers other than for testing - but where I do I always set 40Mhz mode (300Mbps) on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

Mind you crApple devices do have a tendancy to dislike 40Mhz mode operation, especially at 2.4Ghz.

Re: Wifi Problems Superhub 2

My Apple devices (iPad, iPhone 5S) are quite happy with 40MHz operation on the router (defined in Airport Utility as "Wide Channels")..

BTW my router in this case is the Airport Extreme which doesn't support 40 MHz for 2.4 GHz.

What are your setting gasdfdsaq on both 300+450?
Why on earth is 5ghz "not needed"? That has to be the most braindead thing I've heard a VM tech say yet.

Still getting back on point, 42Mbit would be about right if your devices are connected via a single spatial stream at 20Mhz. I don't know enough about Apple stuff to comment on that.

That would be my point. The router hardware *does* support it, Apple just won't allow you to turn it on. Similarly even if you did turn it on, your devices would still have it disabled. Last iPhone I came across had it permadisabled even on 5Ghz though newer ones seemingly don't.
