I'm thinking of starting a companion blog to VMHD, concentrating on the new Netflix service arriving on TiVo in the coming weeks. To this end I've set up a small poll (www.vmhd.blogspot.com) to gauge interest in the new service. Let me know what you think.

Aside from Game of Thrones, Sky Atlantic hasn't really got anything that will appeal to the mass market. Sure, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and (arguably) Newsroom are great shows, but for me Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and House of Cards are better...and all on TiVo by the end of the year.

Blinkbox doesnt have streaming rights, it has PPV rights.

It's not PPV. You pay once for a programme/season, can stream as much as you like

i hope its not because of the reactions of certain people on here. we know they're rumours and they're not confirmed. its good to hear it though even if its only 90% possibility. rumours are better than nothing and i don't hold you to it.

unless its some other non cable forum reason for this in which case fair enough

Personally I used to hate reading about "Rumours" or "coming soon" - but now I like reading them - especially when they are late in materialising.

It's just the reactions of some members who seem genuinely suicidal because a channel is not live yet

Especially when it's the +1 channels. New channels offering new content.... maybe, but +1 channels when we have 3 recordable tuners and most digital channels repeat stuff later in the week....
