You will certainly enjoy having a state of the art TiVo STB as its a world away from what came before it.

Forgive those who want it but what is Premier about Premier Sports. Their name is surely inaccurate?

Does anybody think that this will mean Premier Sports arrives on VM?

Lets just get the facts right first.
Its actually a chairman of the Rugby Parliamentary Group who just happens to be an MP, it is not coming from the MP as an MP, its coming from an MP as a Chairman of a Rugby Union Group.
It wont make any difference, thats like a TV Producer selling his content to Sky Atlantic and then saying "oh id like to see your channel on Virgin", unless they said "we wont sell you the rights unless you become available on Virgin" nothing is likely to happen.
The Rugby Parliamentary Group are just using the letters M & P to make the story appear to be a powerful message in the hope customers will get angry at VM for not making it available.

I think League is far superior but would not denigrate the other code just because I do not like it.

Instead of trying to make Virgin Media the villain of the piece, maybe Greg Mulholland should ask why the Rugby League sold their rights back in April to a niche tin can broadcaster in the first place. As stated in his letter, the Rugby League knew at the time Premier Sports had been up and running for almost 3 years without a carriage deal with Virgin Media. Why did they think this would suddenly change?
They only have themselves to blame for narrowing the potential viewing audience. Happy to take the money but no the consequences.

Surely the answer if they are that worried about is to let BBC or ITV have it free to air instead of trying to make as much profit as they can.
May help the minority sport get more punters through the door, runs and hides
